ORAL COMM. (symp.). Temporal Stability In the Expression of Laboratory-Based Habits

**Symposium Abstract:** Recent advances in habit research highlight novel theoretical perspectives, refined experimental approaches, and emerging neuroscientific insights. This symposium brings together leading researchers to discuss current progress in understanding the mechanisms of habit formation and expression, and to explore how these insights can be translated to real-world contexts, including clinical behaviors. **Talk abstract:** This talk investigates the temporal stability and related individual differences of habit expression. Using a test–retest design we show temporal stability of habits, albeit with an overall reduction. Importantly, habitual responding correlated between tests, providing evidence for the temporal stability of individual differences in habit expression.
